Based on a Mapuche epew (fable) Amucha is about the relationship between a grandfather, Ligkoyam, and his granddaughter, Alen. The story takes place in the region of the Lafkenche people, located in the southern coast of Chile, during the year 1.300 A.D. It is based in the traditional mythology of the Mapuche people. The close and friendly relationship between Ligkoyam and Alen develops until one day an Omen announces a new path for Ligkoyam. The film was recorded in Isla Mocha, Chile.

Basada en un epew (fábula) mapuche, Amucha es la historia del abuelo Ligkoyam y su nieta Alen. La historia se desarrolla en el  año 1300 en la zona lafkenche (costa) del territorio, al sur de Chile. La historia está basada en la mitología del pueblo mapuche y cuenta la amistosa relación de complicidad entre este abuelo y su nieta, hasta que cierto día un presagio anuncia un nuevo camino para el abuelo Ligkoyam.La película fue graba en la Isla Mocha, Chile.
